Collection: HIKING (TREKKING)

Hiking and trekking… these are words that we often hear applied to “walking in the mountains” but do we really know what each of them means? Is there a difference ?.

The trekking It consists of walking through rural areas or mountains using the old communication routes opened by our ancestors and which today remain practically abandoned. This activity is always carried out on paths marked by professionals, thus contributing to the recovery and maintenance of traditional paths.

The trekking  or hiking It is a specialty of mountaineering that takes place in generally isolated, high mountain and little-frequented environments such as canyons, mountains or forests. Their difference is that trails are not usually used to travel and, if you do, these trails are not properly marked.
